New stamp sets and new technique

I had some new stamp sets so decided I needed to try a new technique. I found this easel card at Split Coast Stampers. All the supplies are from Stampin Up. It is really simple but makes a special card. This one uses two stamp set, Thoughts and Prayers, Whimsical Words. The paper is Lovely Lilac and Sahara Sand. The patterned paper is from Pattern Pack #3. The ink and ribbon are Lovely Lilac. I used the Curly Label and the Photo Corner punches.

This one uses the Thoughts and Prayers stamp set, one of my favorites. This is Night of Navy, Sahara Sand and Very Vanilla card stock, Night of Navy ink spot, and some patterned paper than came in a pad of 6 x 6 inch pieces - again from Pattern Pack #3. Punches used were the Scallop Border, Scallop Oval. and Photo Corners.

This picture does not do justice to the colors. I had a scrap of Dusty Durango polka dot ribbon so wanted to use it up. This card uses Dusty Durango, Crushed Curry and Soft Suede card stock. The ink used was Basic Brown. Punches were the ticket corner punch and the modern label punch. The stamp set is Three Little Words.

This one uses an old stamp set I bought on E-Bay several years ago. The card stock is Almost Amethyst and Green Galore. The ribbon is Green Galore and I used the ticket corner punch. I used the chalks to watercolor the images that were stamped with Basic Brown. Inside I used the stamp - "The more candles the bigger the wish" - from the Whimsical Words stamp set.
I also played with some Easter cards using the Easel technique. I will post them soon.

Beautiful cards... great idea to use the Thoughts and Prayers set with easel card design!
